Full Enclosed Fixture Suitable It is well known that LED is very sensitive to heat. When temperature rises, the efficiency of LED drops, and its lifespan shortens. Most of lighting fixtures are enclosed fixtures. Here are some examples in Fig-1.The enclosed fixtures mean the air circulation or heat exchange are very limited. The heat generated by LED goes nowhere but contaminating itself. It causes the raising of LED temperature. So, it becomes an issue to extend the lifespan of LED in the environment like that. When you shop for LED bulbs, look for LEDs that are approved for enclosed fixtures.
